CRPF Sgr Sector wraps up inter-operational battalion tournament with spectacular finale | KNO

Srinagar, Mar 17 (KNO): In a display of competitive spirit and camaraderie, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Srinagar sector concluded its prestigious inter-Operational Battalion and Group centre units tournament at the HMT complex, Zainakote. Over three days, from March 14 to March 16, 2024, 23 operational units showcased their talents, with the final match between 23 BN and 75 BN stealing the spotlight. The closing ceremony, graced by the DIGP Ops Srinagar South, Mathew A John, emphasized the role of sports in fostering team spirit and physical fitness among the forces. Organized by the 44 BN CRPF, the tournament at the iconic HMT complex witnessed the presence of senior officers, including the Commandant of all operational units and Second in Command P S Ghosh of the 44 BN. As per a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), with the introduction of the slogan “ROZ KHELO, ZAROOR KHELO” (Play Every Day, Play For Sure), advocating for the significance of sports in daily life, the tournament highlighted the skill, discipline, and determination of the participating teams. In a closely fought battle, 23 battalion emerged victorious, clinching the championship title and reaffirming the CRPF's ethos of excellence, teamwork, and resilience. The success of the tournament not only showcased sporting talents but also strengthened the bonds of brotherhood and unity among the various units, reflecting the meticulous planning and hard work of the organizing committee of the 44 BN and the unwavering support of all participants and attendees—(KNO)
